Pumpkin Patch 2014

This was our third year to go to a local pumpkin patch and take pics.  I guess it's now a tradition for us.  Granted the pumpkin patch we go to is a local Methodist church about 5 minutes from our house, I love going.
This year it was BLAZING HOT!!!  And J wasn't really feeling it as you will see from the pics.  He is totally at the age where you take out your camera out and he completely looks the other way.  And smile?  No way!!! That would make mommy too happy!!!  :)

J loved this wooden pumpkin cut out and tossing the bean bags.  He would have stayed there the ENTIRE time if mama hadn't wanted some pumpkin pics.

 This photo cracks me up!!!

And here it is... our family pumpkin patch photo 2014.  Crazy to think that next year we will have another little boy in that pic with us!!!

And to compare...

October Happenings

October was a pretty great month!!!  Sit tight because I have lots of pics!

If you follow me in Instagram or we are friends on Facebook, some of these pics will look familiar.

One night at the beginning of October, Aaron had a pregnancy craving for a DQ blizzard.  Who said the pregnant lady always gets cravings?

Unfortunately, J got a pretty mild stomach bug.  Luckily, it wasn't too horrible, and he only missed school on Thursday, but it still wasn't fun.  Poor buddy didn't feel good.  He still talks about it.  Anytime he coughs he usually says, "Mess?" Because a couple of different times he coughed and threw up on the carpet.  Because his language has taken off, this has also started the idea of "feeling better."  He now says, "Tummy feel better."  Or if someone else is sick or hurt he might say, "Daddy feel better?"  It's really the sweetest thing!!!

The second week in October I started working as an AVID tutor at my old junior high.  I work every Tuesday and Thursday while J is in school.  I work 9 hours a week, and thankfully my mom and mother-in-law are able to pick J up from school for me on those days.  It's been quite an adjustment going from being heavily in charge (either in my own classroom or as the school's counselor) to working in another teacher's classroom.  I do like knowing I am helping out our family in some way financially even if it is small.

 LOVE this kid!!!

J and I went to the newly renovated park down the street from Meema and PopPop's.  J had the best time!!!
On Friday, October 17th, my mother-in-law and sis-in-law and I drove out to Granbury for our church's second ladies retreat.  The theme was Trust Without Borders.  Like last year, my fav part of the weekend was staying up late talking to my roomie, my sis-in-law, Holly.  We don't get to talk just the two of us very often, so it's always lots of fun.

October 20th is my mom's birthday, so we went out and celebrated her.  We went to downtown FW for a really delicious meal and AF&B.  It was a fun evening just spending time with my parents without J.  That doesn't happen very often anymore, so it was a nice treat for us all.

Some school artwork of J's

I'll be honest.  I am not a Pinteresty mom.  Shocker!!! I know!  Anyway, I have plans to do more stuff than I do.  Well, one day I decided to have J and I to decorate pumpkin shaped cookies.  It went a lot better in my head.  J's attention span for such things isn't that long.  He did LOVE the sprinkles.

Friday Favorites

It's Friday and I am linking up with one of my favorite bloggers and her friends.  Andrea has a blog called Momfessionals and it's one of my daily reads.
Momfessionals

We are currently on Day 3 of the stomach bug at our house.  Poor J woke on Wednesday in throw up and hasn't been himself ever since.  Fingers crossed!!! He has eaten a piece of toast and 2 small bowls of white rice, and they have stayed down.

Here's to hoping we are almost over this bug, so we can enjoy our weekend!!!

Now onto my FAVORITES for the week or month!!!

My favorites this week involve one thing- PUMPKINS!!!
I LOVE them!!!

Here are some of my favorite pumpkin things right now.

I decorated our house for fall the second week of September, but have yet to put pics up.  I love our decor this year!!!  J really loves all the glowing pumpkins.

These Oreos are the best EVER!!!  We are already on our second bag.  Oh my!!! If you haven't tried them, you must!!!
I splurged a few weeks ago and bought a Bath and Body Works candle.  I love their candles!!!  My favorite are their fall scents, and this one is so yummy!!!  I loved it so much I went back and bought it in the mason jar size for my aunt and cousin at our birthday get together.

At the same time I discovered this other amazing scent- Pumpkin Latte and Marshmallow- my mom was waiting in the car with J when I ran into get the candle.  I came back out and had put some of the above cream on my arms.  She immediately asked me what the scent was.  Luckily, she went back later and bought the shower gel and body cream and bought some for me, too.  It's so yummy!!!  We both have talked about how nice it is to have a light scent on after you shower.

Those are my favorites for this Friday.

Have a great weekend!!!

Final RoundUp

This is my final round up of pictures I hope for a while.  In an effort to get completely to real time, here's another picture heavy post.  Enjoy the compilation of our lives over the last couple of weeks.

Riding in the back seat with my boy!!!

Sour cream and onion chip face!!!

Sadly, these are the only pictures I took at the Ladies Retreat for WWCC.  My mom did the amazing table décor!!! It was an amazing weekend with sisters in Christ.  My fav part was staying up until 2 am talking with my sweet sis-in-law!!!

Snuggles with my boy (with my Iphone)

Coming up the aisle with Daddy after giving his money for Coins for Christ.
I don't take selfies.  I think they are ridiculous!!! However, after 5 compliments on my hair from teachers and students.  I did it.  I took a selfie.  I think the people I work with were trying to tell me I should straighten my hair more.  I had my hair cut the day before, so my hair was extra straight from the blow out.

S'mores cookies.  Easy and delicious!!!

We went to the Stockyards for Christmas card pictures.

After our morning in the Stockyards, J fell asleep in the car on the way home.  So instead of moving a sleeping baby, Daddy read a book.

J got up from his car nap in time to see the branches on the tree being chopped off.

Aaron had Veterans Day off, so we went to Chick-fil-a.

Then, J played in Daddy's truck.

I chaperoned a volunteer field trip with some of the students at YMLA.  Such a great experience for me and my students!!!

It was the coldest day of the season, and J wanted to play outside.  He's such a boy!!!

Terrible fail at Jello Jigglers!!!  J had fun playing in the pan instead.

Friday night treat- Dinner at El Rancho Grande

Saturday errands.

J loves a car!!!  Thanks Costco!!!

That wraps up the marathon of pictures!!!  One week until Thanksgiving!!!  Can't Wait!!!
